Mountain Biking on South Fyn and the Archipelago Islands
Try some of Denmark’s best mountain biking terrain.
The hilly landscape on South Fyn is perfect for mountain biking, and in the past few years, passionate locals – in cooperation with private landowners, local municipalities, and the Danish Nature Agency – have created several great mountain bike tracks, which pose a challenge for beginners as well as experts.

Starting and finishing in Hallindskov, most of this 9 km track is located in the beautiful and undulating Stevneskov just outside Svendborg.
Everyone can enjoy this 17 km track on South Fyn. The blue and red tracks are open all year round.
This 6.3 km track winds its way through a scenic hilly landscape.
A nice and short track at just under 4 km in the hilly Pipstorn Forest close to the town of Faaborg. The start of the track is located by the old railroad in the middle of the forest.
MTB events
The marathon mountain bike race BISSEN MTB is fun regardless of skill level. The route is 26 km and known for its varied terrain. The route goes up and down the hilly streets of Svendborg and includes the best parts of the mountain bike tracks in the forests just outside town.
The ‘alps’ of South Fyn boasts some of Denmark’s best and most spectacular mountain bike terrain – perfectly suited for a mountain bike race. Remember to enjoy the views of the archipelago from the track! The race starts on the harbour front in Faaborg.
