Come behind the scenes with our local producers. In South Funen, you'll find many local producers who are eager to show you what happens behind the scenes by offering guided tours.
Not far from downtown Svendborg, you'll find Skårupøre Vineyard beautifully situated amidst the estate's vineyards. The vineyard offers tours for groups of at least 6 people, where you can taste the wines and learn about their history.
The very first distillery in Denmark for the production of fruit brandy. The brandy has won numerous awards and is served at the country's finest dining establishments. The distillery offers tours for groups of at least 8 people, where you'll learn about the process and also get to taste.
On Thurø Island, you'll find Thurø Bryghus, where beer is brewed with plenty of passion. Thurø Bryghus is a microbrewery with just 3 people to brew, bottle, and sell their fine beers.
Visit their modern microbrewery with an adjoining tasting room and shop at Svendborg Harbor. Enjoy one of their many draft beers with a full view of 'the holy halls'.
Here you can buy bread and sweet treats straight from the oven. They don't have a shop, so you do your shopping while they bake. That way, you can see and smell where the bread comes from.
Come and visit their cosy farm shop, which is brimming with fresh Funen fruit from the harvest around September until the stores are empty at the end of March. In addition to selling their own produce, they also have a range of local specialities in their assortment.
